The Brooklyners are a New York City group working at the edges of jazz and free improvisation. Their sets at Riverside Park place them in the RTA Summer Sunset Concert Series alongside artists like Ron McClure, as well as past collaborators The Afro-Latineers and The Slim Kings. The band’s playing leans on group listening and quick shifts between pulse and open space, with structure emerging in real time. They favor interaction over display.
