Terri Lyne Carrington: Classical Musician in New York

About Terri Lyne Carrington

Terri Lyne Carrington is a musician whose work moves between composed structures and improvisation, with roots in jazz and an ear for vocal phrasing. In New York City she appears in performance contexts such as Roulette, where experimental lineups are common. She has shared bills with artists including William Parker, Theo Bleckmann, and Martha Redbone, and appears on the roster for M3 Festival 2026. Her performances favor precision and dialogue among players over spectacle.
