Tanya Donelly is a New England–based singer-songwriter and guitarist whose career runs from Boston’s alternative rock circles into a long solo chapter. She first drew attention as a founding member of Throwing Muses, later helped form The Breeders, and then led Belly before turning to solo recordings with frequent Boston-area collaborators. In New York City she has appeared at Le Poisson Rouge, including shared bills with guitarist Chris Brokaw. Her performances favor direct songcraft and clear arrangement over spectacle.
