About Sugar Vendil

Sugar Vendil is a New York City–based group moving between rock/pop structures and jazz-adjacent improvisation, led from the piano and electronics. Their work has been heard at The Stone at The New School, including a residency that places them in the venue’s long-running experimental lineage. In collaborative sets such as *Sugar Vendil / Isogram*, they’ve shared the stage with Cindy Lan (violin), Annie Nikunen (flute), and vocalists Marie Lloyd Paspe and Annie Wang. The performances favor clarity of texture over spectacle, letting small shifts in timbre and rhythm carry the form.
