About Stereo Mandrax (FREE w/ RSVP) Hisham Akira Bharoocha & Ka Baird Duo • Ben Vida & Alex Zhang Hungtai Duo • Chuck Bettis & Bonnie Baxter Duo
Stereo Mandrax is a rock/pop outfit heard in New York City club rooms such as Pianos, often presenting short sets built around tight coordination and quick shifts in texture. Their bills frequently align them with downtown-leaning collaborators, including duos featuring Hisham Akira Bharoocha with Ka Baird, Ben Vida with Alex Zhang Hungtai, and Chuck Bettis with Bonnie Baxter. The project moves easily between band-driven pulse and experimental method, keeping arrangements lean. Their performances tend to favor momentum over spectacle.
