Sonu Nigam is an Indian playback singer and music director whose voice has anchored film songs across Hindi and Kannada cinema, alongside work in devotional music, ghazal, qawwali, and rock/pop. Over a long recording career he has logged more than 6,000 tracks in upwards of 32 languages, and he also releases non-film albums and appears occasionally on screen. Honored with the Padma Shri, he brings that cross-genre discipline to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum stage. His concerts tend to privilege phrasing and control over spectacle.
