SiM: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About SiM

SiM is a Japanese rock band formed in the mid-2000s in Kanagawa Prefecture, led by vocalist MAH alongside SHOW-HATE, SIN, and GODRi. Their songs move between metalcore and j-rock, but often detour into hip-hop, ska, reggae, and punk, with a rhythmic emphasis that keeps the arrangements in motion. In New York City, they bring the HOOMAN WORLD TOUR to Irving Plaza, sharing bills that have included artists like Zero 9:36 and aurorawave. The band’s approach favors groove and abrasion over polish, with lyrics that lean confrontational.
