Ships in the Night is the solo electronic project of Alethea Leventhal, working between Charlottesville, Virginia, and New York City. Rooted in synthpop, darkwave, and EBM, her recordings lean toward clean melodic lines and programmed rhythm, with a synthwave palette that stays tightly arranged. Her third full-length album, *Protection Spells*, arrived in 2025 via Metropolis Records. In New York, she appears at Cassette and has shared bills with artists including Carlos Truly, Dhemo, and Miles Hewitt; her performances favor clarity over spectacle.
