RUSHIL is a New York–based vocalist and songwriter working at the intersection of Hip-Hop/R&B and South Asian devotional forms heard in qawwali, sufi, and ghazal. His music moves between rhythmic spoken delivery and melismatic, raga-leaning lines, often treating the lyric like a prayer as much as a narrative. Onstage, he favors clarity of tone and text over spectacle, letting dynamic shifts do the work. He brings this approach to the Mercury Lounge for a self-titled set.
