RP Boo: Performing Artist in New York

About RP Boo

RP Boo is a Chicago electronic musician, producer, and DJ widely cited as an early architect of footwork, shaping the style in the 1990s through beat construction built for fast, kinetic dancing. His recorded work, including the album *Legacy* (Planet Mu, 2013), maps a stripped, percussive language that prizes rhythm over melody. In New York City he has brought that approach to venues like Nowadays, appearing on bills alongside artists such as Balam Acab, Bby Eco, duendita, and Woesum. His sets tend toward precision and forward motion rather than spectacle.
