Robbie Lee is a New York–based composer and multi-instrumentalist whose work moves through jazz improvisation alongside experimental and contemporary classical practices. He is known for folding historical and early instruments into modern ensemble settings, treating timbre and process as central parts of the music. At Dizzy’s Club, he appears with the Band Director Academy Faculty Band alongside Rodney Whitaker, Bria Skonberg, Julius Tolentino, and Steve Fidyk. His performances tend to favor investigative detail over spectacle.
