About Rex Abbasi
Rex Abbasi is a jazz guitarist and bandleader heard on New York City stages, including Iridium. In performance he has shared the bandstand with Oz Noy, Nir Felder, Dave Stryker, Pat Martino, Adam Rogers, Paul Bollenback, Ed Cherry, and Sheryl Bailey, moving between straight-ahead lines and modern harmony. He appears in the concert honoring Martino alongside a wide circle of New York guitar voices. His playing favors clarity and rhythmic intent over spectacle.
