Phoenix James: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Phoenix James

Phoenix James is a rock/pop artist whose recorded work also falls into alternative R&B, with an emerging profile on Spotify and a following around 7K. In New York City, James has appeared at the Knitting Factory, including on bills shared with De’Wayne. The music moves between guitar-driven structure and R&B-inflected vocal phrasing, often favoring groove and tone over volume. Onstage, the approach leans toward clarity and control rather than spectacle.
