About Patricia Brennan

Patricia Brennan is a Mexican-born, U.S.-based jazz composer and vibraphonist who also works on marimba. In New York City she is active as a performer and educator, teaching in the jazz programs at Manhattan School of Music, The New School, and NYU Steinhardt. Her work sits close to free and experimental jazz, often built from clear, interlocking lines and shifting rhythmic cells. At BRIC she appears with the Patricia Brennan Septet, in dialogue with artists such as Cindy Blackman Santana and Lucía.
