Paola Prestini: Classical Musician in New York

About Paola Prestini

Paola Prestini is a classical composer whose work moves between contemporary concert music and adjacent idioms, including traces of Latin jazz. Her career has been noted by major outlets, including The New York Times, and she was listed by NPR among notable composers under 40 in 2011. In New York City she appears at National Sawdust, where she hosts events such as a community listening happy hour. Her approach often treats performance as a social practice, favoring clear structure over spectacle.
