Oteil & Friends is a rotating Rock/Pop ensemble built around bassist Oteil Burbridge and a circle of longtime collaborators, including Melvin Seals, Steve Kimock, Jason Crosby, Tom Guarna, and Lamar Williams Jr. The group appears in New York City at Brooklyn Bowl, where the lineup can shift night to night. Their sets draw on the extended improvisational traditions of American rock, with room for gospel and soul inflections. The playing favors groove and ensemble listening over spectacle.
