Oscar Mooney: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Oscar Mooney

Oscar Mooney is a rock/pop artist based in New York City’s live-performance circuit, appearing at venues such as the Knitting Factory. He has collaborated with filmmaker and artist Nina Diwan, including the hybrid screening-and-performance project “For Example: The Chinese of Lebanon,” credited to Diwan and Mooney. His work moves between concert form and narrative media, treating songs as material that can carry story and context. The approach favors direct delivery over spectacle, with attention to structure and pacing.
