Operator: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Operator

Operator is a rock/pop artist appearing in New York City lineups, including performances at the Knitting Factory. In a recent bill there, Operator shared the stage with Silas Five and Awful Christine, placing their set in dialogue with the city’s blend of guitar music and song-forward R&B and rap. The project’s approach leans on direct song structures and steady dynamics rather than extended spectacle. The name also echoes a longer American pop history, recalling the well-known “Operator” song title from the early 1970s.
