Omar+ is a rock/pop project led by drummer, producer, and composer Omar Hakim, whose career was built in the studio and on stages alongside major figures in jazz, fusion, and mainstream pop. His credits span bands and artists from Weather Report and Miles Davis to David Bowie, Madonna, Sting, and Daft Punk, reflecting a musician shaped by arrangement as much as performance. In New York City, Omar+ appears at The Roof at Superior Ingredients and Jolene Sound Room Brooklyn. The group’s sets favor precision and groove over spectacle.
