About Okwui Okpokwasili

Okwui Okpokwasili is a Nigerian-American artist whose work moves between dance, theatre, writing, and installation. Trained in theatre, she builds performances that treat the body as both storyteller and site, often alongside collaborators such as Peter Born, including projects presented in New York City at Danspace Project. On screen, she is known for her role as Vertigo in the miniseries *Agatha All Along*. Her stage practice favors presence and close attention to gesture over spectacle.
