Nina Diwan: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Nina Diwan

Nina Diwan is a Rock/Pop artist whose work in New York City has appeared at the Knitting Factory, where she brings a songwriter’s economy to the stage. She has also collaborated with Oscar Mooney, including the film project “For Example: The Chinese of Lebanon,” credited to Diwan and Mooney. Her practice moves between performance and documentary-making, treating live music and film as parallel forms of narration. Her performances favor clarity over spectacle, with attention to voice, rhythm, and direct storytelling.
