Nilima Sheikh: Performing Artist in New York

About Nilima Sheikh

Nilima Sheikh is a visual artist who works from Baroda, India, with a practice shaped by painting and exhibition-making. In New York City, her work enters the public record through MoMA Exhibitions, where *Nilima Sheikh: Fractured Skies* offers a concentrated view of her recent output. The presentation places a Baroda-based perspective in dialogue with an international museum audience. Her work tends to favor narrative clarity and historical memory over spectacle.
