Nicolas Collins is a composer, sound artist, and writer whose work often tests the boundaries between classical practice and electronics. He studied at Wesleyan University, earning both undergraduate and master’s degrees, and later completed doctoral research at the University of East Anglia; early on, he also held a Watson Fellowship. In New York City he has appeared at Roulette, including programs alongside MIXOLOGY and Weston Olencki. His performances tend to favor process and listening over spectacle.
