Mohtasham Yaqub: Comedian in New York

About Mohtasham Yaqub

Mohtasham Yaqub is a New York–based performer whose work sits at the intersection of theater and documentary storytelling. Trained through a mix of conservatory practice and ensemble-driven development, Yaqub has appeared in new-play productions and staged readings across small and mid-size New York City venues. Recent roles have centered on contemporary writing and community-focused narratives rather than period repertory. Onstage, Yaqub favors precision and listening over display, letting the text and the room set the pace.
