Mike Fahn: Jazz Musician in New York

About Mike Fahn

Mike Fahn is a U.S. jazz trombonist whose work spans straight-ahead playing and open improvisation. In New York City he appears at Bar Bayeux, including performances with drummer George Schuller’s MI6 alongside Mike McGinnis, Luke Franco, Jim Hershman, and Maryann McSweeney. His trombone lines tend to move between anchored harmony and more fragmentary textures, responding quickly to shifts in ensemble direction. The approach favors flexibility and conversation over fixed arrangement.
