Michael McKean: Folk Musician in New York

About Michael McKean

Michael McKean is a performer whose work moves easily between acting, comedy, songwriting, and bandstand musicianship. Known for screen and stage roles as well as original music, he brings a storyteller’s attention to phrasing and lyric detail. In New York City, he appears at Town Hall in connection with *Loudon Wainwright III: 80th Birthday Jubilee*, sharing the bill with artists including Rufus, Martha, and Lucy Wainwright Roche, Joe Henry, and John Scofield. His performances tend to favor character and craft over spectacle.
