Medeski, Martin, Metzger & Cline is a four-piece group that brings together keyboardist John Medeski, drummer Billy Martin, guitarist Scott Metzger, and guitarist Nels Cline. The project draws on rock and pop forms while leaving room for improvisation shaped by long-running, scene-crossing careers. In New York City they have appeared at LPR (Le Poisson Rouge), including late-night sets billed as a Phish After-Party following arena concerts. Their performances favor ensemble listening over solo display, with grooves that shift in density and direction.
