Matt Heaton: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Matt Heaton

Matt Heaton is a New York–based performer whose work moves between rock/pop songcraft and freer, open-form playing. He has appeared at Riverside Park as part of the Hippo Playground Summer Concert Series, sharing bills with artists including Michael Napolitano, Esther Crow, Flor Bromley, and Hopalong Andrew. In these settings, he treats a park concert like a small lab for arrangement and interaction. His performances favor direct melodies and a loose, listening-driven sense of structure over spectacle.
