About Mars Ultor • Prayer Rope • Ventrilopuist

Mars Ultor is a New York City–based rock/pop performer whose projects include Prayer Rope and Ventrilopuist, often appearing on mixed bills that connect club rock with downtown experimental lineages. At Pianos, their sets move between direct hooks and more fractured, texture-driven passages, reflecting time spent alongside acts like Stereo Mandrax. The writing favors plainspoken structure, with arrangements that leave room for abrasion and drift. The performances tend to prioritize momentum and clarity over spectacle.
