About Machinedrum

Machinedrum is the recording and performance project of Travis Stewart, an electronic producer from North Carolina who moves between club music, jazz-informed rhythm, and rock/pop structures. He is also known through aliases and collaborative groups, including Sepalcure (with Praveen Sharma), JETS (with Jimmy Edgar), and Dream Continuum (with Om Unit). In New York City he has brought live sets and extended nights to Public Records, sharing bills with DJs such as Lena Willikens and Justin Strauss. His performances favor detailed sound design and tight percussion over spectacle.
