About Lydo

Lydo is a New York City–based DJ, sound artist, and nightlife organizer with roots in the Philippines and the Vietnamese American diaspora. A resident at BASEMENT, they also run the party collective X-TRA.SERVICES and appear regularly at spaces such as Knockdown Center, Public Records, and Reforesters Laboratory. Their sets move between electronic, jazz, and hip-hop/R&B, using syncopation and hybrid structures to address queer identity, belonging, and spiritual change. The performances favor precision and texture over spectacle, whether sharing bills with KI/KI, Lauren Flax, Verraco, or François X.
