Les Arts Florissants is a French ensemble devoted to Baroque repertoire, founded in 1979 by conductor William Christie and shaped around period instruments and a small vocal core. Named after an opera by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, the group has become a reference point for historically informed performance, with Christie now joined in leadership by tenor Paul Agnew.
