Lala Lala is the Chicago-based indie rock project of songwriter and musician Lillie Amadea West, working in a lane where rock/pop structures brush up against R&B and hip-hop inflections. Onstage in New York City, including sets at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory, the songs tend to be carried by direct vocals, taut guitar lines, and unshowy dynamics.
