Kode9 is the stage name of Steve Goodman, a Scottish electronic musician and DJ whose work helped define the early contours of dubstep alongside his late collaborator The Spaceape. He also runs the Hyperdub label, a long-standing platform for forward-leaning club music. Across albums including *Memories of the Future*, *Black Sun*, *Nothing*, and *Astro-Darien*, he treats sound design as composition rather than ornament. At Brooklyn’s H0L0, his sets tend to favor structure and tension over spectacle.
