King Tuff is the recording name of Kyle Thomas, an American rock musician whose work sits between garage rock, neo-psychedelia, and surf-leaning pop. A Sub Pop artist, he has spent much of the last decade touring across the U.S., Europe, and Australia, building a live reputation shaped by the road. Thomas also fronts the stoner-rock band Witch and has played guitar with Ty Segall’s backing band, the Muggers. At Rough Trade NYC, his sets tend to favor grit and immediacy over polish.
