About Kim Cass
Kim Cass is a New York–based bassist working across jazz and free improvisation. A fixture on small-band stages, he has performed with drummer Rob Garcia, the Rob Garcia Sizzle Ensemble, saxophonist Noah Preminger, and pianist Gary Versace. At Bar Bayeux, he appears with Garcia’s Sizzle Ensemble in a set built on close listening and shifting ensemble dynamics. His playing tends to favor clarity over spectacle, keeping the pulse flexible while leaving room for risk.
