Juilliard Jazz Ensembles: Jazz Musician in New York

About Juilliard Jazz Ensembles

Juilliard Jazz Ensembles brings together student musicians from The Juilliard School’s jazz program, working in rotating small groups shaped by repertory and bandleading assignments. Their sets at Dizzy’s Club place that training in a New York City room built for close listening, where arrangements have to hold up in real time. The repertoire often moves between standards and newer writing, with an ear for ensemble balance and disciplined time. The performances tend to favor precision over showmanship.
