JP Saxe: Folk Musician in New York

About JP Saxe

JP Saxe is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose profile widened with the 2019 single “If the World Was Ending,” a lyric-forward track that carried his writing into mainstream charts. A grandson of cellist János Starker, he comes from a lineage where musical craft is treated as daily work rather than decoration. In New York City, he appears on arena bills at Barclays Center, including dates of Megan Moroney: The Cloud 9 Tour, with fellow support act Solon Holt, and also plays Prudential Center. His performances favor clarity over spectacle, built around close observation and conversational phrasing.
