About Jon Spencer
Jon Spencer is a New York City–rooted rock and pop artist best known for fronting the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, a lean trio formed in the early 1990s that folded punk attitude into blues and garage rock. As a vocalist and guitarist, he works with tightly wound rhythms and a rough-edged, song-first delivery, sometimes adding unexpected textures like theremin.
