JoJo: Hip-Hop Artist in New York

About JoJo

JoJo is an American Hip-Hop/R&B singer who broke through in the early 2000s with a pop-adjacent R&B sensibility and an unusually strong command of vocal technique. Her early recordings were shaped by classic soul and R&B influences, and she took on songwriting responsibilities from the start, co-writing several tracks on her debut album. At New York City’s Irving Plaza, she brings that catalog into an unplugged setting for “THE HIGH ROAD — 20 YEARS UNPLUGGED,” foregrounding phrasing, breath control, and narrative detail. Her performances favor clarity over spectacle.
