About Joe Nice

Joe Nice is a Baltimore-born dubstep DJ who began playing the sound in the early 2000s, after first encountering it at a local rave. He helped establish some of the first U.S. dubstep nights and later organized New York’s irregular Dub War series, a platform that brought key UK artists into the city’s club circuit. Now a regular presence in New York rooms including Nowadays, he also tours internationally and runs the Gourmet Beats label. His sets favor direct, physical bass pressure and a curator’s ear for new plates and lesser-known producers.
