Jeremy Pelt – 50th Birthday Celebration: Jazz Musician in New York

About Jeremy Pelt – 50th Birthday Celebration

Trumpeter and composer Jeremy Pelt marks his 50th birthday with a set at Dizzy’s Club in New York City, a room closely associated with working, present-tense jazz. Over the years he has collaborated with artists including saxophonist Tia Fuller, building his bandleading around tight arrangements and conversational ensemble playing. His recordings sit firmly in the modern jazz tradition, and his public profile remains closer to the bandstand than the spotlight. The music favors clarity and forward motion over spectacle.
