About Jeff Mills

Jeff Mills is an American DJ, producer, and composer shaped by Detroit’s techno underground. He co-founded the collective Underground Resistance in the late 1980s before moving into a solo practice in the early 1990s, and later established Axis Records in 1992 as a platform for much of his recorded work. In New York, he brings a live electronic set to Knockdown Center for “Jeff Mills - Live at Liquid Room 30th Anniversary.” His performances favor precision and momentum over spectacle.
