Issa Iyer: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Issa Iyer

Issa Iyer is a New York City–based rock/pop artist whose work often sits close to the edges of genre. At Brooklyn’s Market Hotel, Iyer has appeared in collaborative settings, including bills with The Issa Iyer Gibbs Coalition alongside veteran bassist Melvin Gibbs and Fatboi Sharif. The projects favor live interplay and arranged tension, drawing on rock structure while leaving room for friction and improvisation. The performances tend to prioritize texture and ensemble focus over spectacle.
