In the Pines: Performing Group in New York

About In the Pines

In the Pines is a group working in the neo-psychedelic lane, with an emerging profile on streaming platforms. In New York City they appear at Alphaville, sharing bills that place their name alongside acts like Buga and Wyyrrd and play with contrasts between pop modernity and older American song lineages. Their reference point is the traditional “In the Pines” repertoire associated with late-19th-century Appalachian sources, filtered through amplified textures. The performances favor atmosphere and restraint over spectacle.
