Illustrator: Rock Band in New York

About Illustrator

Illustrator is a rock/pop group heard around New York City’s late-night circuit, including sets at Sleepwalk. They’ve appeared on bills with ZEBEDEE and GiL Hodges, linking them to the same Brooklyn rooms where ZEBEDEE has played, from Night Club 101 to Knitting Factory Brooklyn. Online metadata places them in the psytrance tag zone, a hint of electronic texture behind the band format. Their performances favor tight structure over spectacle, with the room’s acoustics doing much of the work.
