İlhan Erşahin is a Swedish-Turkish jazz musician and New York City club figure, based in the city since 1990 after growing up in Stockholm. At Nublu, he is a familiar presence, often leading late-night sets that reflect the project-based arc of his work, from Wax Poetic and Love Trio to Istanbul Sessions. He has shared the bandstand with players including Yusuke Yamamoto and Gintas Janusonis. His performances favor groove and ensemble interplay over overt display.
