Icon for Hire is an American rock band formed in 2007 in Decatur, Illinois, now led by vocalist Ariel Bloomer and guitarist Shawn Jump. After early independent EPs, the group released two albums through Tooth & Nail Records before shifting to self-released projects including *You Can’t Kill Us*, *Amorphous*, and *The Reckoning*. Their sound draws from hard rock and glam-leaning arena traditions, built around direct hooks and a vocal-first front line. In New York City, they bring that approach to the stage at Racket NYC, including bills with artists such as Lauren Babic.
