Hejira is a New York City–based group that performs at the Iridium, centering its set lists on the songbook of Joni Mitchell. Named for Mitchell’s 1976 record, the project treats that era’s road-written material as a working score, leaning into its jazz-inflected harmonies and long-form arrangements. In the current lineup, vocalist Hattie Whitehead is featured, with the band shaping space for narrative detail and shifting rhythm.
