Heaven is a Sheffield synth-pop group that emerged in the early 1980s, built around vocalist Glenn Gregory with synthesizer architects Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh. Their work draws on crisp electronic textures and a pop-song frame, shaped by the post-industrial mood of their hometown. In New York City they have appeared at Union Pool, sharing the bill with Silver Triplets of the Rio Hondo and Cowboy Clean. Their performances tend to favor structure and tone over spectacle.
